The NBA Draft is tonight at 7pm.
This is quite possibly the most boring and uninteresting draft in NBA history. Cleveland, which owns the 1st and 4th picks, intends to draft Kyrie Irving & if available Enes Kanter. Minnesota, which owns the 2nd pick, is deciding between Enes Kanter and Derrick Williams. Utah, owner of the 3rd pick, is deciding between Brandon Knight and Enes Kanter. After that, the draft is pointless because whether you are picking 5th or 20th, you're most likely going to get the same type of player. The parity in the draft is huge, however this the draft where you fill all your role players on the team.
As for the Heat, they have a guaranteed Reggie Jackson will be picked with the 31st pick if he is available. They have proposed a multi-year deal to him and he has gone ahead and cancelled all his remaining workout. If Reggie Jackson is not available, expect the Heat to trade the pick away for another young point guard or a player with a dynamic that the team doesn't have.
Watch out for a bunch of trades to go down in this draft. I fully expect Pat Riley to be active and make a couple moves.
