Behshied's response (from a female's point of view)

Women's Rights isn't the reason why you have no job and twenty-something year olds are in this ordeal. It's easy to blame someone else for all your problems. Personally, I think your view is naive.

1. Let's do a history lesson first.
Women's Rights was a movement was in regards to the right to vote in 1920. You are talking about when women entered the work force, which is during WWI. Although, no one can deny that women have entered the workforce increasingly as year passed by, especially in the late 60s and early 70s, this doesn't skew the perception of men and women.

By now, men should realize that women are in the same league as men, especially our generation. Currently, majority of the "20-something year olds" can say both their parents work full time. So, to say the perception and expectations of children have been warped is naive and ignorant. Our generation has to see that women are in the workforce and they are working along side men. The end.

Now, the idea of a women going to work from the beginning was to help their family financially. This was the purpose of women entering the working class. Majority of those women who worked, were in the lower class bracket. In fact, due to its stigma, women who worked were designated by society that their family was poor. In other words, men needed help in making money, because they couldn't make enough, women went in to help. So, there it is. It's men's fault for women entering the workforce you lazy, half ass, porn addicted, hussie. You weren't making enough money to feed Johnny, Willy, Sally, Susie, and little Michael. You kept boning me, we had no birth control, money was low, and so, women took control and started a movement.

2. Lack of Moral Integrity
Personally, I think what is skewed is our morals. I'm not sure how everyone feels, but this is the impression I have amongst our age group with religion. Having a strong sense of faith is not the most positive trait a person can have. In fact, some may say they feel embarrassed to express their love for their "God," considering there are so many negative connotations to it, e.g. radicalism, hate, one-mindedness, the list goes on.

What does this have to do with us? To answer this, I first have to answer this question: what are the basics of religion? Don't have sex before marriage, don't drink, don't do drugs, be good, pray, be respectful, don't steal, don't commit adultery, don't murder, and so forth.

Well, since our generation is less religious and some just feel as though is a form of control, we believe that we can handle it without it.
So, little John Doe grows up and denies "God" or religion by age 17. He goes to a party in college at 18, fucks a lot of bitches, smokes tons of weed, skips class, and drinks during the day at a football game while getting into a fight against his rivals. Mmm... do some basic critical analysis there... yah John just fucked up the basics of religion. Now, what will happen. Okay, so he fucks so many bitches, he has no more feelings anymore because they all broke his heart. He smoked so much weed that he can barely think straight anymore and it's the only thing that makes reality and pain to go away. He skipped so many classes that he barely passed them with C's. And he spent all his parents' investment for his future. In other words, he fucked up and now he graduates with nothing to show for with his degree.

So, John is 23 years old out of college with nothing to show for. So, he takes the chance at any job he can get. But because he still is going to go clubbing and drinks and fucks bitches, he will forget what he wants from life and his job. His job was simply funding the drinks to get the girls to fuck him and paying the gas and their dinners to meet up with them. Now, he is 26 years old and realizes working for Bank of America is the worst of his potential. He has a self realization, "FUCK, I FUCKED UP!"

Now, this is the same for girls, just a different route.

I'm not saying religion will solve everything. I'm saying, we need to let go of all distractions and be strong in what we want in life and follow the basics of what religion wants from us. They were written for a reason. Humans cannot be independent. It isn't in our nature.

3. Technology/Younger Generations
We are growing older, we are seeing more forms of entertainment through technology. I love technology, it's great! But, social networks are making matters worse. Let's take a look at John again. It's Tuesday night and he wonders what Jenny is thinks about him b/c he can't stop thinking about if she thinks he is funny or not since 1st period English. So, what does John do instead of study for your big test tomorrow in science? He goes on facebook and stalks her and her friends and compares their tities. After enough analysis of boob-age, and finding her aim, he goes online to chat with her. The journey begins... Jenny takes interest. And since, girls are pressured to feel like Kim Kardashian, Brittany Spears, or Megan Fox, they put out to get the guy to like them. So, at the age of 14, they have sex. And it doesn't end there. Now, Jenny needs to post hot pictures and prove to the guys in her school she is so cool. So, she starts going out and taking random pictures and wasting her time. Distraction. She gets John to like her. They hang out more. Distraction. She catches him texting Elizabeth one night and they fight. Distraction. They break up. Distraction. She sees Elizabeth and John walking in the halls and having lunch. Distraction. She goes home calls up her girls, plans a party, has Steve come over, fucks and posts it on her status on FB for John to see. Distraction.

Did John or Jenny do well in school? Nope. Graduate from high school and they can't go to a good university. Same cycle just at a earlier time period.

4. Overall Conclusion
1. Xavi is wrong.
2. I'm right.
3. Stay in school
4. Have morals
5. Don't let distractions take you in.
6. Be strong and be smart.

  1. That was well written and is obviously a part of the problem with our society, but there's a couple things you missed/got wrong there...

    1. Women didn't enter the workforce because men weren't capable of providing for their family. You almost had the answer though, but missed it. You mention WWI, WWII, and 60's/70's as when women entered the work force...wanna know why they entered the work force a lot during that time?? WAR. WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. While the husband had a moral obligation to go out and protect his country...he left his job to do so...thus the job needed someone and someone had to provide for the family...so Jenny got hired. Johnny gets back from war and is like "hey im back!!! Need my job."...the boss says "sorry buddy, Jenny is working here now and im paying her way less than I was paying you...goodluck! and thanks for protecting our country"....So jenny took johny's job and worked for less...so then the boss is like, "man I need to hire women so that I dont have to pay them as much..." and then Jane sees Jenny working and making money and is like "I wanna work too and make money for myself, so that I can buy some shoes and shit..."...jane applies for the same job that Johnny is applying for and thus in a cycle of events women are competing with men for jobs...

Only if Jenny had said "heres your job johnny, I wanna cook and clean and take care of our babies and raise them right..."

    2. I agree with the lack of moral integrity, but there's more to play than simply blaming johnny's denial of god and his religious rules as the problem. See Johnny and his friends watched MTV and the media constantly on TV from a young age like 12 or 13...the same MTV that shows real world, celebrity's drinking and fucking up, and all that BS about fucking bitches and getting high and drunk. Johnny isn't the only one watching, cause jenny and her friends are watching too. Thus, this idea of "fun" as I would call it, get engrained in their heads. They go to school and the "popularity" contest begins. And thus it trickles down to the events you mentioned.

Johnny and Jenny's parents raised them with religion and morals, but when society doesn't show these same morals in TV and in our culture, Johnny and Jenny then dont give a fuck about religion.

    3. This is the new problem in our generation, social media. I think it's making kids stupid. We've become addicted to it, but we have to realize thats its the future...it really is, no matter how much you wanna say you hate it. The problem is we dont have the self discipline to control our urges to do our tasks. We give in to temptation. I know I have this problem.

So, in the conclusion, there's more than one underlying force affecting the problems we are facing today.

  2. WTF it posted???? sorry for the double...i'll take the other one down.

  3. **Apparently if your response is long it wont be put on the comment box, thus I had to post my response, sorry.

So what Beshi and Xavi have said are true, but I think Beshi's response is missing some key points...

    1. Jenny didn't join the work force because Johnny couldn't provide for the family. That's not the reason. You almost had the answer, but you didn't say it. You mentioned WWI, WWII, and 60's/70's period as the time when the work force was flooded with women. What do all these time periods have in common???? WAR. See, while Johnny was out protecting our country, someone had to hold down his job and someone had to provide for the family. Thus, Jenny decides to take a job. Two problems here. Jenny takes the job at a lesser pay, thus cutting costs for the boss and creating competition now between women and men for jobs. Secondly, when Johnny gets back, theres no job for him cause Jenny has his job. So Johnny now has to compete with Jane, who is jealous of Jenny cause she's making money now, for the same job that he would have gotten easily. This competition trickles down to the 80's and 90's and today...where we need graduate degrees just to be able to get jobs that we really dont need the degrees for.

Only, if Jenny had given Johnny the job back and gone hoome to take care of business...

    2. I agree with the lack of morals in our society and not following the simply religious doctrines. However, there's more at play than that. See Johnny and Jenny grew up in MTv era. The "MTv" era fed Johnny and Jenny from a young age about sex, drugs, partying, and etc. When a kid is fed these ideas from a young age, he's going to be tempted to do them. Again, another trickle effect. So, while Johnny and Jenny's parents thought them the correct morals, MTv was teaching them "hey it's cool if you deviate a little, you'll be forgiven"...but again this is just a little part of the problem, there's obviously more at play here...

    3. I completely agree with you in regards to technology distracting us. But, again there's more at play. We need to be able to control ourselves when faced with the decision to interact or do HW. We simply can't do this simple task of controlling ourselves. So is it the social media thats to blame or is it us??? See we grew up in this MTv generation. We are the adults of this generation, thus it's why we are having a hard time growing up...we dont wanna grow up, we wanna continue our teenage years of partying and getting drunk/high longer...we dont wanna face the responsibility of having to take care of a family...it's sad, but its the truth.

So in the end, both Besh and Xavi have valid points, but Xavi's point is the root of the problem...

  4. 1. I agree with when men came back, their jobs were taken away. Still though, because our country was leading into a depression, women had to work. Economy was devastating and only got worse until the 1930s. Hence, the great depression. Women had to work to financially be stable in their homes. And don't forget, birth control wasn't available at this time, so parents thought by making more babies they will invest in a little work force for their family. That's why you see your grandparents generations with a poop load of kids.

BUTTTT we can go back and forth with this and still end up at the same position.

WOMEN and MEN work together. You can't change that. If you were to still defend women's rights theory, then you have to also plan a theory on how immigrants are the reason "why 20 something year olds" have no jobs. Then you become a Tyler and a Sarah. She stays home and he works. And they hate color. White America.

    2. I couldn't agree with you more. I cosign. TV/Media/Music all are part of the social pressure of making young kids go down a horrible path.

    3. Cosigns twice. I am affected by this too.

    So, Solutions?

  5. Immigration is whole other issue.

The problem is caused by the sum of little problems over time which accumulates over time and explodes into a bigger problem which we then try to solve with "bailout" plans...lol

I think another issue is we look at our parents and say to ourselves, "I dont want to be like that..." and thus we prolong our graduation into adulthood as long as we can or until we are stabilized financially.

My dads solution to the problem..."cable TV is the devil!" lol but so true.

  6. LOL my grandma said the same before she passed. "The TV is the box of the devil"

  7. You guys gotta finish reading the NY Times article. I know the Ny Times sucks ass and is filled with bullshit, trust me I know this...but this is really well written article that focuses on the scientific aspect of growing up and also cites great examples...

Anyways, I'm on that 'emerging adulthood' and the decision I make these next few months are going to have a lasting impact on the life that I lead...FML.
